Below is a consultation document for setting employer accreditation for employers that require migrant skills. There is a further document planned for 2025 on Pathway to residency.
Jeff Henry, CEO for Floor NZ and ATI, attended a meeting with MBIE along with other construction trade associations on 2nd October 2024. The feedback during the meeting was unanimous that pathway to residency should be the governments priority focus as the recent changes in April have resulted in valued staff having no option but to leave when their visa has expired.
