FloorNZ Awards 2025
FloorNZ is excited to announce the launch of the FloorNZ Flooring Awards, a new programme recognising excellence across New Zealand’s flooring industry. These awards provide the opportunity for industry to get together and celebrate outstanding flooring projects completed by our members during 2025, as well as continue to recognise the achievements of our apprentices previously recognised through the Apprentice of the Year awards.
The awards are open to all FloorNZ members — retailers, suppliers, and contractors.
We encourage members to:
✔ Nominate exceptional projects and individuals for work done in New Zealand during the 2025 year
✔ Sponsor by becoming a Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Table sponsor to promote your business.
✔ Attend the celebration evening to connect with industry peers
Award Categories:
- Commercial Hard Floor of the Year – Resilient floors (coving, inlays), Wet area flooring, Rubber, Walls LVT, Hybrid, Laminate, Engineered timber, Solid timber, Sanding & finishing
- Commercial Carpet of the Year – Woven, Tufted, Carpet tiles, Needle punch carpet
- Residential Hard Floor of the Year – Vinyl sheet, LVT, Hybrid, Laminate, Engineered timber, Solid timber, Sanding and finishing
- Residential Carpet of the Year – Woven, Tufted, Carpet tiles, Garage carpet
- Overall Floor of the Year – from the winners of the above categories, FloorNZ will award the prestigious Floor of the Year 2025
Cost: Early bird cost per entry is $100.00 excl GST. Entries after 27 February are $150.00 excl GST per entry.
Deadline: All entries for the 2025 year must be submitted (including payment) by 5pm on Friday, 20 March 2026.

From each category, the finalists will be selected, with the overall category winners announced at the FloorNZ Flooring Awards Evening on 7 May 2026 at Waipuna Hotel, Auckland.
The Flooring Awards aim to highlight outstanding craftsmanship and innovation in our industry, while also offering valuable opportunities for networking, industry promotion, and recognition for sponsors, finalists, and winners.
