FloorNZ Excellence in Flooring Awards 2025
FloorNZ is excited to announce the launch of the FloorNZ Flooring Awards, a new programme recognising excellence across New Zealand’s flooring industry. These awards provide the opportunity for industry to get together and celebrate outstanding flooring projects completed by our members during 2025, as well as continue to recognise the achievements of our apprentices previously recognised through the Apprentice of the Year awards.
The awards are open to all FloorNZ members — retailers, suppliers, and contractors.
From each category, the finalists will be selected, with the overall category winners announced at the FloorNZ Flooring Awards Evening on 7 May 2026 at Waipuna Hotel, Auckland.
The Flooring Awards aim to highlight outstanding craftsmanship and innovation in our industry, while also offering valuable opportunities for networking, industry promotion, and recognition for sponsors, finalists, and winners.
2025 Award Categories
Commercial:
- Commercial Hard Floor of the Year (resilient floor/wall coverings, timber or laminate floor coverings)
- Commercial Carpet of the Year (woven, tufted, carpet tiles, needle punch carpet, including walls)
Residential:
- Residential Hard Floor of the Yea (resilient tile/plank and sheet, timber or laminate floor coverings)
- Residential Carpet of the Yea (woven, tufted, carpet tiles, garage carpet)
Major Award:
From the winners of the above categories, FloorNZ will award the prestigious Floor of the Year 2025.
