Excellence in Flooring Awards 2026
Get Ready to Enter!
Start identifying your standout 2026 projects now – they could be next year’s Excellence in Flooring Award winners.
Residential, commercial, carpet, hard flooring – if it showcases project management, creativity, and technical mastery, it deserves to be in the spotlight.
The Flooring Awards aim to highlight outstanding craftsmanship and innovation in our industry, while also offering valuable opportunities for networking, industry promotion, and recognition for sponsors, finalists, and winners.
The awards are open to all FloorNZ members — retailers, suppliers, and contractors.
Projects must be completed in New Zealand during 2026.
FloorNZ Awards Evening held May 2026 was a great success!
For the first time we had the Excellence in Flooring Awards sit alongside the Apprentice of the Year Awards, which was a memorable event celebrating the talent, skill, and professionalism within our industry.

Commercial Hard Floor of the Year
(Resilient floors (coving, inlays), Wet area flooring, Rubber, Walls LVT, Hybrid, Laminate, Engineered timber, Solid timber, Sanding & finishing)
Commercial Carpet of the Year
(Woven, Tufted, Carpet tiles, Needle punch carpet)
Residential Hard Floor of the Year
(Vinyl sheet, LVT, Hybrid, Laminate, Engineered timber, Solid timber, Sanding & Finishing)
Residential Carpet of the Year
(Woven, Tufted, Carpet tiles, Garage carpet)
From the winners of the above categories, FloorNZ will award the overall Floor of the Year 2026

✔ Nominate exceptional projects and individuals for work done in New Zealand during 2026
✔ Sponsor by becoming a Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Table sponsor to promote your business
✔ Attend the celebration evening in 2027 to connect with industry peers
