What makes an apprentice of the year?

The successful apprentices of the year represent the highest achieving apprentices in their fields.  Their performance has been measured during a block course on the following criteria:

  • Communication skills
  • Presentation
  • Professionalism
  • Practical skills
  • Knowledge
  • Ability to work with others

Stefan Lutge, Max Tasmania, Jade Paniora-Tierney & Matthew Kerr were this last year’s highest performers amongst their peers and are very well deserving of their individual awards.  It has been an absolute pleasure to have spent time with them and we wish them all the best and look forward to their on-going development in the flooring industry.

The award for the Flooring Planning and Design qualification is specific to the retail sector. This year’s well deserving recipient of the award is Brent Read of Read’s Flooring Whakatane. Brent immersed himself into the course from start to finish with total commitment and professionalism. Our congratulations to Brent and his team at Read’s Flooring Whakatane.
